The BOROUX Proactive Fluoride Filter is a high-performance, alumina-free solution that removes up to 99% of fluoride. Its patent-pending upflow design and dual-layer nano-carbon filtration maximize contact time and filtration efficiency. Housed in durable stainless steel shells, it’s compatible with BOROUX Foundation and Black Berkey® filters, delivering up to 1,000 gallons of clean, fluoride-reduced water per pair. The fluoride filter is an add-on filter located in the lower chamber and must be attached to a filter housed in the upper chamber.
The reusable stainless steel shell is required for use with Fluoride Filter. It supports our upflow design, which directs water from the bottom up—slowing the flow rate and increasing contact time between water and filtration media. This optimized interaction enhances fluoride reduction and overall effectiveness.

Composition
Filters are comprised of a specialized blend of activated carbon. The BOROUX Foundation Filters contain silver, an antimicrobial agent, to prevent microorganisms from degrading the product itself. This filter is not intended to filter microorganisms.

Warranty Coverage
The BOROUX Foundation Filters are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover failures resulting from abuse, misuse, alteration, damage, failure to follow installation and use instructions, or wear consistent with the expected filter lifespan. If the product is deemed defective, we will replace it. Proof of purchase, a description of the product, and an explanation of the alleged defect must be provided to process a warranty claim.
Free Shipping is a standard 7-10 business days. Expedited Shipping is 3-4 business days however this does not apply to international orders. ALL international orders attract a shipping fee including orders to Canada, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and all other US territories.
