Stage 4: This final stage is a carbon block compressed to a 1 micron pore size with radial filtration. Q: hello!! is this replacement for the fluoride III? $249.00? thank you!

A: No this is the price for the whole unit (the unit comes with cartridges). The replacement cartridges (UF3RC) are $162.00.

Q: Can this filter be used with hot and cold water? If you cannot use hot water, which filters can be used with hot water?

A: None of our drinking filters are made for hot water because almost all filtration is carbon based and carbon tends to break down when it is frequently exposed to hot water. Our shower filters are made for hot water because most of them are KDF based filtration.

Q: I’m looking for a system that can filtering the water to the whole house and not just under the sink? Will this system do this?

A: We have a choice of two whole house filters although neither of them are as comprehensive as our UF3. It isn’t possible because the water doesn’t have enough visiting time with the filtration media like the UF3. The whole house filter will remove all the chlorine and chlorine gas as well as reduce VOC’S & THM’s.
